“Training is like moving a big pile of dirt. Some days you get to use a shovel. Some days you get to use a spoon. As long as you move a little dirt everyday, you’re heading towards your goal.” – John Welbourn This journey is not some “12-week challenge” or “detox” thing, it […]
Throwing, passing, pushing, tackling in your sport? Do you train your overhead positions regularly to help strengthen your shoulders and improve your midline stability? These kids do to minimise the risk of injury in their chosen sports, it also helps them raid the higher cupboards where parents hide the goodies this time of year… […]
What a great day out for the CFWS Christmas Cracker event. We had a couple of fantastic workouts before lunch to make sure everyone had sufficient appetites for lunch then a few brave (and highly competitive) people went out to CrossFire Paintball for a couple of hours of fun. Thank you to everyone that came out […]
It can be a busy time of year so taking the time to look up and take stock of a problem/issue can often make the solution more clear. Stubbornly pushing on with your head down and bum up only really works well for inanimate objects. Today’s WOD The CFWS Christmas Cracker is this […]

Don’t just lay around all week, get in and work on your fitness, one hour at a time. Programming Notes We get to check in on our agility early in the week through a workout that will progressively introduce more challenging movements to push our aerobic capacity. We see the squat and weightlifting programming continue […]
