September 2017

More Fundamentals graduates, Gore Gauntlet, using your fitness…

During August we have welcomed several new Fundamentals graduates into our community. Tayo, Char, Hera, Blair, Phil, Sam, and Tai. With another couple due to complete in early September. As always, please welcome them into our community, get to know them all and support them as they begin their journey with CFWS.

So that we can have as many of the Crew available as possible to give our athletes support, we have made a few changes to this weekends schedule.

Saturday WOD Class is now 8:30 am

The box is CLOSED on Sunday – all day

Read on below for information about some of the events and activities that are coming up at CFWS.

There is also a team WOD at the end of each day. We will have a CFWS team once a few more details are ironed out.

New (ish) Timetable

Most of you will have experienced the new timetable by now (if not, where have you been hiding?) and judging from the feedback we are receiving, we appear to be onto a winner. There is still a month to run on the trial, so we will be continuing to monitor attendance and feedback.

Using your fitness…

Fitness in 100 words

Let us know about your activities

It can be a challenge to keep up with the many fun activities that you all get up to when you are not training. We would love to hear about the way you are using your fitness out and about in the real world, it’s one of the reasons why we all train, right?

Well, we may not catch everyone’s activities, here a few that we know have been done or are coming up…

Piki at the Powerlifting Nationals – Piki dedication to training has been rewarded with a very impressive 2nd placing at the Powerlifting Nationals recently in Dunedin.

Piki Lifting

Steph and Ruth at the local SOW lifting Comp – While Ruth is continuing on her quest for the Commonwealth Games, Steph has decided to get into the competitive side of Olympic weightlifting and lifted very well at her first competition for quite a while.
