Workout of the Day – Tuesday 13th November, 2018

1 year on from graduating her Fundamentals, Jenna has made some fantastic improvements in her strength and overall fitness. She has achieved those results through consistently attending classes (5:30am) and focussing on her sleep and recovery.

We asked Jenna a few questions to sum up her first year at CrossFit Wild South.

So a year on in your CrossFit journey, what can you tell us about it so far?

I was really nervous about joining CrossFit, just because people give it so much shit (usually people who have never tried it ) but it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The people who go are really supportive and it doesn’t matter if you are just starting out or have been doing it for years, the workouts are suitable for every ability. I love it. Unless there’s running haha.

What helps keep you motivated to attend as regularly as you do?

I keep motivated to go because of the super supportive environment. Plus you always keep pushing yourself and achieving new goals.

What can you do now that you weren’t yet able to do a year ago?

I can back squat 67kg, which is more than I weigh haha. I love the weightlifting.

What would you like to be able to do in a year from now?

I’d like to be able to do a handstand, but I have a serious mental block with it.
