Snatch balance is a higher technique movement, and for people completely new to it, weights should be increased gently.
Your Snatch Balance weight will most likely not match your Snatch weights until you have spent some time on the movement.
We really want to see more speed in the snatch balance in getting down to the position than see a “snatch press + a squat” however if mobility does not allow the Overhead Squat may be a more appropriate alternative.
Today’s WOD is looking like a middle length WOD so the runs should be aimed at 2 mins each. If it will take you longer, reduce distance as needed.
Lifting should be done in 1-2 sets but given the complexity of the movement, you may find that you need some pausing between lifts to reset and ensure you are getting in the correct position.
